Good Morning Grizzlies!
I hope everyone had a great long weekend! This week, I am super excited to begin our personal narrative writing unit! In this unit, we will practice pre-writing, revising and editing, and how to make our writing more vivid and grammatically correct.
Today's objectives:
1) Students will be able to organize their ideas using a graphic organizer.
2) Students will define and create a HOOK for their personal narrative that will grab the reader's attention.
3) Students will use the past simple tense to discuss their weekends.
Here is a copy of our PowerPoint for the week for 4th period.
Things you can do at home:
1) Ask about their novel and what's happening in the book.
2) Ask which topic they chose to write about
3) Ask them to why it's important to do pre-writing
4) Encourage students to read EVERY night for 15 minutes
Let's make it a great week!
Sincerely,
Kristen Hines
