Week of 11/13-11/17

Good Morning! This is the last week before Thanksgiving, which means students are busy trying to finish up strong before the break! This week, we are continuing short answer responses and analyzing non-fiction. Our goal is to make sure that students can read critically in all their content areas as well as construct meaningful responses. This week-NO HOMEWORK!  Lesson Plans HERE We are looking forward to writing some sweet notes to people in assisted living homes this week to play a role in giving back and being kind. Don't forget students should be reading from their books EVERY DAY! Have a great day! Sincerely, Mrs. Hines

Week of 11/6-11/10

Hi Grizzlies! What a chilly week it's been! We are DONE with fiction and are moving onto non-fiction! We have started learning how to annotate and look at text features. We are also introducing comparatives and superlatives this week! Homework is DUE Friday and students need to read any article from NewsELA and complete the assignment on Google Classroom. Remember, NO SCHOOL this Friday as we celebrate our incredible Veterans! Here are our  lessons for the week. Let's make this week GREAT! Sincerely, Mrs. Hines
